SplitDecision compares the annual heating cost of firewood against conventional fuel, then looks at the ownership picture over a 25-year horizon.
The calculator is meant to make the decision concrete: your furnace cost, install assumptions, wood source, current fuel, and the labor value you assign to cutting and handling firewood.
